Operation Hyperion

24 Hour MilSim

Area of operations – Narrow Water Castle

Background:

Operation Irontide seen NATO destroy multiple Chendekan drone launch sites, recover an intact attack drone and successfully defended its MLRS batteries, keeping long-range fire support in the fight. The intelligence recovered exposed weaknesses in the CNA drone programme, allowing NATO to deploy advanced mobile air defence systems across the theatre. For the first time since the conflict began, the skies above Kardivka belong to NATO.

The CNA feel the window is closing.

Before NATO can exploit its new air superiority, Chendekan commanders launch a full-scale ground offensive. Mechanised units, reconnaissance teams and special forces surge forward to smash NATO’s defensive lines, destroy the MLRS batteries and reopen the airspace for their drones to return.

NATO has no intention of giving an inch.

Operation Hyperion sees Allied forces launch a coordinated counter-operation to hold the new lines and exploit their dominance of the skies. Precision strikes and long-range fire will hammer enemy advances, but ground forces must identify targets, seize observation posts, secure communications hubs and hunt down mobile command vehicles directing the assault. Without eyes on the battlefield, NATO’s firepower is blind.

Meanwhile, CNA units must fight through layered defences, capture strategic strongpoints, destroy NATO targeting assets, recover critical drone technology abandoned during Irontide and eliminate the MLRS batteries before reinforcements can arrive.

The drones have been grounded. The skies are contested. The battle will be decided on the ground.

Operation Hyperion begins.

What to expect:

This is a force on force 24 hour Military Simulation exercise.

There are a variety of different roles in this event primarily focused on conventional warfare, including reconnaissance, patrols as well as coordinated assaults on enemy positions. Do not expect a skirmish style game with constant action. With this in mind please bring the right attitude to this event. Do not arrive expecting to go off task in search of a firefight, if this is your attitude then please do not book a ticket. We expect participants to follow the instructions from the chain of command to ensure a realistic and enjoyable event for all involved.

Certain camping areas are considered patrol harbors, these are in game areas where eye protection must be worn at all times, including sleeping. Units in an “off game” campsite must have magazines out and guns on safe.

Expect to stay in the AO until EndEx.

Note on uniforms for this event.

Factions in this event are distinguished primarily by headgear and uniform. We expect you to make a decent effort with your uniform to avoid friendly fire incidents as well as looking the part of your chosen faction.

All factions are permitted to wear a helmet at night for the purpose of using night vision. If helmets are not your listed faction headgear you may only wear one at night if using a night vision device.

If you are not sure about your chosen uniform please contact us before the event to check.
